Ippo support

Ippo Japanese is a free app for iPhone, iPad and Mac that teaches Japanese from the first kana to JLPT N1.

Report a bug or a mistake

In Ippo, open Settings → Send feedback or report a bug. Say what happened and what you expected. Leave the diagnostic log switched on if you can: it shows exactly what the app did, and it goes only to the developer. During a lesson, the flag on an answer card reports that card (wrong audio, a translation problem, an answer that should count).

Beta testers

In the TestFlight build you can also take a screenshot and tap Share Beta Feedback, or open TestFlight, choose Ippo and tap Send Beta Feedback. Screenshots help most for anything that looks wrong.

Before you report

Check Settings → About for your version and build. If audio is silent, check the ring/silent switch and Settings → Lessons → Autoplay audio. If progress hasn't reached another device, Settings → iCloud shows the sync state; progress is always kept on the device in the meantime.

Starting over

Settings → Retake placement test changes where you start without losing anything. Settings → Reset all progress erases everything on every device signed in to your iCloud, after two confirmations.

Ippo collects nothing to learn. Read the privacy policy.
