The short version

Ippo has no accounts, ads, analytics, tracking or purchases, and the developer runs no servers. Your learning stays on your devices and in your own iCloud. The only thing that ever reaches the developer is feedback you choose to send.

Your progress

Lessons, reviews, settings, streaks and achievements are stored on your device. If iCloud is on for Ippo, they also sync through your private iCloud database so your iPhone, iPad and Mac stay in step. Apple stores that copy; the developer can't see it. Settings → Reset all progress deletes it everywhere.

Feedback you choose to send

Send feedback (in Settings, the feedback button in lessons and stories, shaking your iPhone or iPad, or Help on the Mac) sends your message and its category, the app and content version, your device model, system version, language, region and time zone, where you were in the app, and, if you leave them switched on, a screenshot of that screen, the diagnostic log and the cards you flagged. It is stored in Ippo's iCloud database, where only the developer can read it. It carries an anonymous iCloud identifier that is unique to Ippo, not your name, email or Apple Account. Reports are used only to fix problems and improve Ippo, and are deleted once dealt with, at the latest after 12 months.

The diagnostic log

Ippo keeps a record of what it did (screens, lessons, the answers you gave, audio, sync and errors) so bugs can be found. It stays on your device, replaces its oldest entries as it grows, and leaves only if you send feedback with the log switched on or share it yourself from Settings.

Reminders and permissions

The optional daily reminder is scheduled on your device. Ippo doesn't use your camera, microphone, location, contacts or photos.

Children

Ippo is suitable for all ages and collects nothing from anyone in order to learn. Feedback is optional; a child doesn't need to send any.

Removing a report

To have a report you sent deleted, send another one asking for it. Its anonymous identifier lets the developer find and delete every report from you without knowing who you are.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version appears here and in the app with a new date. Questions are welcome through Settings → Send feedback, or the support page at ippo.sequoyahgeber.com/support.

Apple services

iCloud sync and the feedback inbox run on Apple's iCloud. See Apple's privacy policy.
